Ok, imagine you're a famous celebrity, you’re getting engaged and can have any ring your heart desires. The world is your oyster and money is no object -- what engagement ring would you choose? These top celebrities chose some serious bling! Let’s take a look at these 5 famous celebrity engagement rings:
1. The Ariana Grande Engagement Ring
Ariana Grande engaged! In December 2020, US singer and actress Ariana Grande announced her engagement to real estate agent Dalton Gomez with an incredibly unique pearl and diamond engagement ring. Ariana Grande's engagement ring is one that holds a classic oval shaped diamond rumoured to be between 5-7ct -- however, that is where the norm stops and the designer’s brilliance steps in.
Why does Ariana have a pearl on her ring?
Ariana Grande's engagement ring also features a very sentimental pearl which was gifted to her by her grandmother. The pearl in the ring was taken from Ari's grandfather’s tie pin, so there are many strong family links attached to her pearl.
The jewellery designer has, in my opinion, done an excellent job of incorporating this sentimental pearl and a diamond of considerable size in one engagement ring. By turning the oval diamond at an angle, this design has effectively reduced the perceived length and focus of the large diamond -- allowing the pearl to be beautifully positioned alongside. In this ring design, both elements equally share the focus of the ring's wearer and admirers.
2. The Kim Kardashian Engagement Ring
Kim Kardashian has taken the world by storm. This US media personality and socialite is also a model, businesswoman, producer, and actress! Is there anything Kim K can’t turn into a success? Let’s be honest, with success like this comes some serious “bling”.
Kim Kardashian's engagement ring (or rings) from Kanye West
Kanye West certainly brought the “bling” not only once but multiple times. Kim Kardashian has received a number of seriously large engagement rings during her marriage to Kanye. However, let’s focus on her first engagement ring as we feel it has the most style.
How much is Kim Kardashian's ring?
Kim Kardashian's engagement ring cost: Spending apparently US$2 million (AU$2.8 million), Kanye West spared no expense to win Kim K’s hand in marriage. For this engagement ring, Kanye selected what could only be described as a gigantic 15ct cushion cut diamond.
Oh boy, where do I start? This Kim Kardashian engagement ring is designed around a monumental 15ct diamond that has been described as flawless in every way. The ring follows modern trends where the band is designed to disappear -- giving the central diamond all of the attention. However, I can’t help but wonder why the designer selected this option when a diamond of this size effectively covers the entire width of the finger anyway.

3. The Blake Lively Engagement Ring
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' relationship was a secret for the most part until the couple announced their wedding just one year after “officially dating”. But in actual fact they had probably been dating in secret for a number of years.
Ryan Reynolds certainly knows how to choose an engagement ring! His selection sparked a rose gold trend throughout the engagement ring world. Not to mention his choice of a pink diamond which is the absolute rage, these days you’re lucky to even find one at a reasonable price!
How much is Blake Lively's engagement ring?
Speaking of price, Ryan Reynolds is reported to have paid $2 million for Blake Lively’s engagement ring which may seem like a lot; however, when you consider that Blake Lively’s engagement ring is set with a rare 12ct pink diamond of flawless clarity, it is an absolute steal at $2 million.
Blake Lively’s pink diamond engagement ring has some interesting design points. The use of rose gold helps to enhance the light pink colour of her 12ct oval cut centre stone. The addition of the three rows of pavé set white diamonds along the upper band provides a subtle contrast to Blake Lively’s light pink diamond.
All in all, I think the designer has done an excellent job of accenting the centre stone, while providing a modern design. You can view our version of this modern style diamond engagement ring.
How to get a Blake Lively Inspired Engagement Ring
When it comes to earth mined pink diamonds, the market demands unreasonable prices. You can own an absolutely stunning pink diamond engagement ring by choosing lab created diamonds. If you are unsure about lab created diamonds I’d recommend you read our blog post as there is a number of fantastic reasons to make the switch.
The most important factor when selecting a lab created pink diamond is the colour. Whoever you purchase your pink diamond engagement ring from (hopefully us), make sure they provide you with at least three colour options as not all “pinks” are created equal. 4. The Kate Middleton Engagement Ring
We’ll have to change things a little here -- instead of imagining you’re a celebrity, imagine you belong to one of the oldest royal houses in Europe. Diamonds and gems constantly surround you… got it? Wonderful!
Is Kate Middleton's engagement ring Diana's?
Duchess Kate’s engagement ring is without a doubt one of the most iconic engagement rings in the world. If you know absolutely anything about jewellery, you’ll know that this blue sapphire engagement ring was originally made for Princess Diana by Prince Charles.
What you may not know is that the design for the ring was inspired by a brooch which Prince Albert had made for his future wife, Queen Victoria in 1840. The brooch was then passed down generations -- even worn on several occasions by Queen Elizabeth II. This was where Prince Charles got his idea for Lady Diana’s engagement ring, and the rest is history.
How many carats is Kate Middleton's engagement ring?
This is, quite possibly, the most stunning coloured gemstone engagement ring -- oozing with class and sophistication. When it comes to the royals, price is never discussed. However, we can easily say that Kate Middleton’s engagement ring would be in the high six figures, especially when you consider it’s set with an incredible 12ct oval blue sapphire.
“The Diana Ring”, as it is dubbed in the industry, is a classic blue sapphire engagement ring; every jeweller at some point in their career has made a version of this ring. However, very few of us would have been privileged enough to make one of this quality.
Set with what is rumored to be a 12ct Oval blue sapphire from Sri Lanka and surrounded by a halo of 14 diamonds of exceptional quality it certainly has the feel of royalty. Based on the rings age and English heritage id assume it is made in platinum.

5. The Bindi Irwin Engagement Ring
Bindi Irwin is best known as the daughter of the famous wildlife warriors Steve and Terri Irwin and . She is passionate about wildlife conservation and currently plays an active role in her family's business, Australia Zoo.
Bindi Irwin's Engagement Ring is a Lab Created Diamond
With her parents being Australia's best-loved advocates for wildlife conservation and Bindi's love of nature, it is no surprise that her partner Chandler Powell selected the sustainable and ethical option when selecting Bindi Irwin’s engagement ring. That’s right, he selected a lab created diamond, and the design is absolutely stunning!
How much is Bindi Irwin's engagement ring?
The price however, is a little all over the place! We’ve heard rumors that Bindi Irwin’s engagement ring is worth up to $70,000 which seems excessive. We’d be confident that its real price was probably around $25,000.
Firstly, I love the fact that Bindi Irwin’s engagement ring features a 2ct lab created diamond as Australis Jewels is passionate about this change in the jewellery industry. In fact, all of our engagement rings and wedding rings come with lab created diamonds.
Secondly, I think the design is beautifully done -- the designer has considered the things that Bindi Irwin is passionate about and thoughtfully incorporated them into the design -- specifically with relation to the twist pattern, which many have speculated resembles vines in nature, which I think is likely. The use of rose gold adds a nice feminine and vintage feel to the ring, while appealing to a younger bride.
I think the design of this ring reinforces my motto of “Don’t be shy, talk to your jeweller”. Tell us about what is important and meaningful to you. We love to hear the stories and emotions that you want to represent in your engagement ring -- they help us to be invested, creative, and passionate about your special piece of jewellery. Any jeweller worth their salt should and will be able to find a way to incorporate the stories you share and the emotions you feel into your symbol of love.
Hopefully this blog has inspired you to start thinking about your perfect engagement ring. Remember you don’t have to be a celebrity/royalty or have the biggest diamond in Australia to feel like you’ve received the best engagement ring in the world!
